I want YOU to create my next product!

I'm really getting into vinyl wall decals over here...

I've been adding them to my store, one by one. Right now, I have inspirational quotes. I have visions and plans for silhouettes and designs, but for now I'll keep rolling with the quotes.

Tonight, as I posted a new one in the store, I was thinking over the story of how this one made it into my design software. That started me thinking of the stories of how the others made it in.

And THAT gave me a great idea! I know that YOU have stories and quotes that remind you of those stories and the meaning they carry for you. I want to help you to have those, in beauty, around you to inspire and encourage you.

So, here's my offer: Figure out what quote YOU would love to have as a wall decal. Head over to my store, and click on "Custom Quote Wall Decal", choose the appropriate size and color, add it to your cart, and check out. In the check out process, you'll have an opportunity to leave me a note. Type in your quote that you'd like me to make into a wall decal for you. After you complete your checkout, start finding where you're going to put your decal, because it will be on its happy way to beautify your home!

This vinyl is safe to apply to most painted surfaces, as well as wallpaper, glass, and plastics. It stays on well, even when exposed to water, and is easy to remove without damaging surfaces. The decals come ready-to-apply on transfer paper. Just peel off the protective paper backing, press firmly on a freshly cleaned surface, and remove the transfer paper! Ships with specific, step-by-step detailed instructions.

I'm so looking forward to seeing what you want- If you like, you can also email me the story behind your quote and it may be featured here on my blog and linked from my store!

Seasonal Glassware for Sale!

Looking for some lovely glassware for your Thanksgiving table?

Or just to celebrate what I think is the most lovely time of the year?

Look no further!

These lovely glasses are nice, strong, thick glass, sturdy enough to withstand daily use at the dinner table, yet elegant enough for special occasions.

One set is adorned with falling leaves in a variety of colors of permanent grade vinyl (brown, green, orange, maroon, red, or black). These are more colorful but are not dishwasher safe.

The other set are gorgeously etched with the same leaves pattern, and these are dishwasher safe!

I'm having an introductory sale, for every order of 2 glasses, I will refund part of your purchase price!

Not sure how long I will keep the special going though, so if you want to take advantage of it, sooner is better than later!

She Liked It!

One of the fun projects I've been working on was putting together flowers for my little sister's upcoming wedding.
There was her bouquet, the groom's boutonniere, the maid of honor's bouquet (who is my daughte- and she made her own! Beautiful, I must say), the "other guys'" boutonnieres, the women's (mothers etc) wrist corsages, and the table arrangements.
It's been a big project, but very fun.
She came to look them over today, and pick them up if they were satisfactory.
She said she liked them!
Of course, I keep hoping she's not just being polite! :0)

Barrel Lights!

Ah, the benefits of children who go valiantly traipsing through the woods, searching for (& finding?) their Narnia.
Our children braved thorns and vines, stumps and fallen logs, and the ever-present possibility of meeting up with a snake or poison ivy and discovered a ramshackle old barn just across our property line. They could see inside that it was filled with old wood (pulled up hardwood flooring and ripped down old wood siding and other similar stuff), and knowing that I like to try making things out of stuff like old pallets, they came tearing home to tell me about it.
After I walked with them and took a peek, it did look like a treasure pile to me! After some hunting and calling, I got ahold of the rental property management company that takes care of the property, explained the nature of the crafts I like to do, and set up an agreement to use the contents of the barn.
These beauties are one of the first finished products out of our explorations!

(forgive me- I'm a mama and maker, not a photographer!)

These are pendant lights, ready to be installed.
Made from reclaimed vintage wooden barrels and fitted with two "Edison" style bulbs.
The canopy is a beautiful, oil-rubbed bronze finish, and the aged patina of the barrels was carefuly maintained as the lights were crafted and the strength of the barrel reinforced.
They are designed so that the distance they hang from the ceiling can be adjusted at installation.

You can order these now at my store, for $225 plus shipping (unless you're local).

New Things Happening!

I've been SO over-committed lately...
I know better than to get in that predicament- usually.
But sometimes, things just coincide, and you have to grit your teeth and hang on tight and get through it.
The things that have had me stretched so thin are all good things, things I didn't want so say "no" to, things I still don't regret saying "yes" to, even though it did make things chaotic for a while.
But I'm glad (it looks like) things are slowing down!
Because now I can start something new that has been staring me down from it's place on the back burner!
I've been tinkering around with ideas for products for my store, and itching to dig in and make it the bustling place I know it can be, but just couldn't work on it!
A few of the things I'll be adding in the coming weeks are:

Etched Glassware
like these, also available with custom personalizations

Reclaimed Wood Wall Art
inspired by these

and Vinyl Wall Decals
like these!

So keep an eye out here, and at my store, and don't miss these great things!

Also- be ready for an exciting new product to be introduced tomorrow! One that comes with the added bonus of my being married to a Master Electrician with an eye for creative art!
